Licensing Info
During the Editize purchasing process you will be required to setup an account for our Customer Control Panel. You will need to login to the Customer Control Panel to generate the Editize License(s) you have purchased.
Registering Editize is simply a case of generating a unique License File for your Hostname and copying this License File (e.g. editize.yourhostname.lic) to the directory on your server where Editize is installed.
Each single-site Editize license is associated with a hostname. This must be the Internet hostname that appears in the Address (URL) field of a user's browser when he or she loads any page of your site that uses Editize.
For example, if a page on your site that will use Editize is accessible as http://mywebsite.com/editsomething.php, you must have a license file for mywebsite.com.
Please note that the Editize licensing scheme ignores the www. that appears at the start of most Web hostnames; thus, a single license file for mywebsite.com will also work with URLs in which www.mywebsite.com is the hostname.
Editize will also work on all sub domains for the hostname you have licensed. So if you purchase an Editize license for mywebsite.com you may also use Editize on testing.mywebsite.com and development.mywebsite.com and so on...
Should your Web site's hostname change in future, or if your site spans multiple hostnames, we will of course do our best to accommodate your needs. In most cases, our support team will be happy to issue you with additional licenses if you can demonstrate that they are for development purposes only. We do however reserve the right to refuse such requests when we deem them inappropriate.
A single Editize license does not entitle you to develop hosted applications which contain Editize such as Application Service Provider (ASP) solutions, for resale.
Except in special circumstances, we will not issue licenses for IP addresses. Thus, we will not issue a license for use on, say http://123.213.231.123/ .

If you develop Web sites on your local machine using a test Web server, Editize does not require a license file for use on that server. This will only work for local connections; a license file is required before browsers on other machines can connect to your test server and use Editize.
